I recently was looking at the forum thread and was trying to answer this question,. Then I came across this software called XP Mode Switch which can be downloaded from http://www.filewalker.de/files/ModeSwitch.zip This is a excellent program that allows XP Mode switch from Windows XP professional to Windows XP Home or any other Windows XP mode.

Here is how you can do this.

1. You need to download XP Mode Switch, you can download this from filewalker.de

2. This will downgrade your Pro to Home, Run the application and restart the system with Windows XP home bootable CD.

3. When the system boots from the CD, select the option repair Windows, your OS will be repaired, keep in mind you will need your Windows XP home CD key (Legit) to continue repairing.

WinKeyFinder cannot Downgrade from Pro to Home you will need to do the above.
